David leans back on his couch. “Yes, I do, and he is not someone you need to get involved with.” “I have my reasons,” I reply, trying to keep my voice steady. David narrows his eyes at me. “What are you involved in, exactly?” I hesitate for a moment, unsure of how much I can reveal without putting myself in danger. But then, I realize that I have no choice but to trust him. “It’s because of Molly,” I confess. David nods, understanding the gravity of the situation. “Okay, I can help you.
