When I returned to the hospital, I was informed that Mia was in the cafeteria with a doctor. My initial thought was to check in with her and ensure everything was okay. As I made my way there, my mind was preoccupied with the ongoing adjustments to Elio’s territory and the responsibilities that came with them.
When I got to her mother's room, she wasn't there.
"Where is she?" I asked the man standing guard by Diane's room. His partner must have gone with Mia.
