(Santiago’s POV)
I can’t get that Alpha she-wolf out of my head. If what she said is true, she was drugged, then it was lucky for her to run into me and not some other horny wolf that would have had no trouble taking advantage of her.
I asked my Beta, Levi, to investigate further. It only took a few days to confirm Isabella’s story.
“Alpha,” Levi says as he walks into my office. “I have news on the case you asked me to check out, regarding Alpha Isabella Costa.”
I motion for him to come in and shut the door. “Well, out with it. Sit down and tell me what you’ve found out.”
Levi sits across from me and opens the file he carried in. He lays it open on my desk. “Her story checks out, Alpha. And the council is in Hansen’s pocket to boot. This girl never stood a chance.”
