It didn’t take long for my mother to reach out to me. A part of me was actually kind of disappointed that she had reached out to Laila first before reaching out to me. I knew that her intentions were not to congratulate Laila but to antagonize her. This was just her way of starting up trouble between me and Laila. She had even managed to make Laila start thinking that there was a possibility that the baby was mine which we both knew it wasn’t.
