I couldn’t believe what Laila was asking me. She was actually asking me if I would be willing to help James take over one of the packs. Why would I do that? We didn’t even know if he was her brother yet, and she was already advocating for him and trying to get me to think about doing favors for him. I guess James had accepted the fact that I wouldn’t give Laila up and that he wouldn’t be able to separate us so he now thought that he would be able to use her to get something from me. Why would he think I would ever consider giving that much power to a rogue wolf?
