This was the part of the night that I had been looking forward to. If I could, I would have shouted at the top of the building and let every wolf that was close enough to hear me know that Laila was my mate and that she was the future queen of this kingdom. We still hadn’t finalized when we would do the mating ritual but I was looking forward to doing it in the next few days. As a matter of fact, I wanted to do it the following day but I figured my father would need some time to rest after the events of tonight. He was still fragile and I didn’t want to overwork him.
