DYLAN’S POV
Today was the last day of the meeting with board members and I couldn’t wait for it to come to an end even before it began. I couldn’t even imagine what Laila was going through all alone back home. The worst part was that I didn’t have my phone with me and whenever I tried to call the landline in my room, someone else would pick it up and tell me Laila wasn’t there. It was the fact that she was never in the room that worried me the most.
I was losing my mind trying to figure out what was going on back home. Knowing that she wasn’t in the room made me think that they were making her do things she wasn’t supposed to be doing.
