LAILA’S POV
After being dropped off but Nathan last night I contemplated going to my father's house and letting him know that Dylan had released me. However, I decided not to because I already knew what his reaction to that would be. First of all, he was going to try to hand me back to Dylan and I didn’t want that to happen because I knew that if I did I would end up changing my mind about us breaking up.
I ended up going to a nearby hotel and that was where I spent the night. The only thing I had was the cheque that Dylan’s father had given me. It was half a million dollars and it was more than enough for me to start a new life. At first, I didn’t want to use it because I felt like if I used it, it would mean that his parents had successfully bought me off but I had to face my reality.
