“How could you do that?” I asked my mother as I moved closer to her, I was still in disbelief at all the things that she had confessed to. I had always known that my mother was a little harsh and strict but Laila’s arrival had shown me a side of my mother that I never thought existed. it showed me a side of her that I knew she had been working hard to hide from me.
“Dylan, why are you looking at me as if I am the one who ruined things?” she asked me and I couldn’t believe that even after listening to herself confessing all the things she had done she still felt like she was a victim in all of this. did she even listen to the things she confessed to? or did she really think it didn't count because a human was involved?
