DYLAN’S POV
I couldn’t believe the lengths in which Laila was willing to go just to make my mother pay for her past mistakes. I felt like she was being badly influenced by James because he was the one who had wanted my mothers blood from the very beginning. The Laila I knew wouldn’t have been so determined to punish my mother but then now I was questioning if I really knew her well. I knew Laila when she was in love and I knew her when she was sad or scared. However I can’t really say I knew her when she was angry, thus was what scared me. I knew that I wouldn’t have a choice but to allow her to deal with the ways he saw fit but I was afraid that she would go too far.
I wished I could make her change her mind about exposing my mother to the elders but I knew this wouldn’t be possible.
