When we got to the room that Theo had booked for us I decided that it would be best if we both freshened up first. It had been a long night and if that doctor wasn’t mistaken with his diagnosis of Laila then we were going to be here for a while. This wasn’t something that was particularly experienced but I had always been told that when the time came I would have to follow my instinct.
I never imagined that this would be something that Laila and I would ever go through. I never imagined that she would turn out to be a wolf someday. This all felt so odd to me and I couldn’t come to terms with it. I was convinced that the doctor had made a mistake but I had to go with what he said because he was a wolf doctor and knew best.
