I felt like I was working against time as I searched for the father of this damned baby. I also couldn’t believe that my mother wanted me to raise a baby that wasn’t mine all because she hated Laila. It was getting harder and harder for me to defend her, I hadn’t really tried to defend her to Laila but I had been planning to. I knew that Laila wanted my mother's head as punishment for what she had done all three years ago but I simply didn’t think that this was the best way to deal with this matter. I didn’t think that sentencing her to death would bring Laila any peace and I guess I also selfishly didn’t want to lose my mom.
Right now I was glad that I hadn’t spoken up to defend my mother yet because if I had I would be looking like a complete i***t. I never thought she would
