Why were they not coming home?
They’ve been gone for a long time. Sky wrung her hands as an anxious feeling gripped her. She could feel Ruby’s eyes on her as she paced the lounge. She couldn’t sit still. She wanted William to come back home, not to be out there were it was not safe. Reagan was dangerous, and unpredictable.
“You need to calm down,” Ruby said. She sighed, and slumped down on the couch when Sky just stared at her. “You are worrying yourself for nothing. Nothing is going to happen to them. Just relax.”
Sky took a deep breath and tried to calm down. But nothing seemed to be working. She shook her head and walked out of the room.
“Where are you going?” she heard Ruby ask behind her. She didn’t answer as she headed to William’s room. Maybe smelling his scent will help her
