He lived most of his life chained to a wall. He knew how a being can exploit another for his own good. Gol used him for his survival. He didn’t care about William’s well-being. All he wanted was to see him suffer so that he could feed. Reagan was doing the same thing. He was selling his own people to feed something within him.
