“Mara?!”
What? Wait Ms. Red Shoes is Mara?! That's why I am feeling like this towards her? Because she's the woman that I have married before?
“Do I know you? How did you know my nickname?” Ms. Red Shoes is surprised, it is obvious by just looking at her facial expression right now.
“You… it's really you” Nemesis said, while I am still standing here, frozen. I cannot believe what is happening right now. I can't even say a word. I am just looking at them without doing anything.
“I am Makaria Antoinette. Mara is my short name. Excuse me but… have we met before?”
So… Makaria is her full name but why does it seem like I only remember her as Mara and not Makaria?
“No. Never mind. We are going to leave anyways” Then suddenly Nemesis grabbed my arms once more and pulled me close to her. I just stare at her after that.
“Wait, are you my stalker too?! Both of you?”
“No! We are not your stalker. We have to go already” Nemesis tried to drag me away from Makaria but she stopped us from walking. Makaria grabbed my other hand. I felt weird when she did that. I feel like there's something inside me that wants to burst out. It seems like it is my first time again to be touched by her.
“I said wait! If the two of you are not really my stalker, then tell me how did you know my nickname? I am not typically giving my nickname to anybody unless you are close to me”
Why is it like this?
If she really is Mara, the one that I liked before, why can't she remember us? I am confused right now.
“It doesn't matter. Okay? Stay calm right there. We are not bad people.”
“Really? How can I calm myself when I feel like you two strangers are hiding something? You are not directly answering my questions and I found that guy you are calling 'Thanatos' was peeping on my window. What do you think I might think huh?”
What is really going on here? She doesn't remember me, or us. Maybe she's punished too? We are both punished. Is that why we both don't have memories?
“Just, trust me. Okay? We are not your stalker”
“How can I trust a person that I just met?”
Met… we have met before and she doesn't even know.
“Mara…have you also lost your memories?” and that's the time that I speak up. I looked at her sincerely and she looked back at me while raising one of her eyebrows.
“What are you talking about?” she asked me as she moved closer. But Nemesis pulled me away from her.
“Thanatos! Shut up. She doesn't lose any of her memories okay? Let's go now!”
“Wait! Wait, why does he think that I lost my memories?” Once again, Mara tries to get close to me, but Nemesis pulls me one more time.
“It is nothing. Do not mind what he said. We have to go!” and with the swing of Nemesis hands, I heard a loud noise.
*beep! beep! beep!*
Mara's car is now making weird alarm noises as if it was touched by somebody. I am sure that Nemesis used her power for that.
So Mara let go of me and went to her garage, while I and Nemesis were heading home.
I can't believe what just happened.

“Thanatos what's going on?! I thought you won't be doing that again? I thought you won't be escaping again” right after we went home, Nemesis pushed me to the sofa resulting in me sitting down. I didn't even understand what she asked me. My mind is pretty occupied with questions right now.
“Why doesn't she remember us?” These words suddenly blurted out of my mouth. It is just one of the questions that are popping up in my head at the moment.
“What did you say, Thanatos?” she asked as he looked at me furiously. I know she is mad at me again but I need to know what is happening.
“What happened to her? I do not know that she's Mara. I only remember her voice and our conversation but… I never remembered her face. Now I already know why I keep following her, why my heart keeps beating so fast when she is around, why it feels like I have met her before… that she seems familiar. Because she is my wife”
“It is fake Thanatos, your marriage is fake I already told you that!”
“But it feels real to me!”
“Thanatos, stop. You should not see her again” she then sat at the chair in front of me before she let out a big sigh.
“First tell me why, why doesn't she remember me”
“She is reincarnated okay?! Maybe she looks like the Mara that you liked, yes, but her aspects or behavior may be different now. Don't you remember? You are the one who sent her to the afterlife. The marriage, the moments of you with her, that is her last wish.”
So those times that I had with her which I don’t remember… she’s already a soul? I married her soul? Should I be surprised? I am a grim reaper before so it is not impossible to happen.
Damn it I really hate myself for not being able to remember lots of things!
“So… you say that after I sent her to the afterlife, she was born again? As Makaria?”
“Yes. Certainly. So please Thanatos, please keep yourself away from her. Maybe she really is your mission here. Do not repeat your mistake. Do not fall for her again”
What if I already did? The first time that I saw her, it felt like I fell for her again. This is not good.
I stood up and went to the kitchen to get some water. I need a drink.
If ever that "Not Falling for Her" is really my mission, I don't think that it will be easy. I can't resist her! As I remembered what I had done earlier… I feel like I am crazy already. I even followed her to see her there.
“Thanatos, can you promise me that you will not do this again?”
How can I stop liking her? Even if I have no memories I am still into her. I see a lot of evidence in my behavior. I become so different when she is around. It feels like I cannot control myself.
I always wanted to see her. I have this feeling that I want to hug her. I want to hug Mara so tight.
“Thanatos! Are you listening to me? Did you hear what I said to you?”
And suddenly, I came back to reality when Nemesis snapped her fingers in front of my face.
“W-what? What again? What did you say?”
I saw her roll her eyes before she let out a big sigh.
“I said… can you promise me that you will not do this kind of stuff again?”
“What if I can't?”
