Calvin's POV
I watched Evelyn walk away, frustration boiling in my chest. How could she be so blind? Didn’t she see the way Leon looked at her? His eyes were full of longing,like a man staring at the woman he’d never gotten over.
The air between them was thick with something unspoken, the kind of tension that only existed between lovers reunited after years apart.
I stormed back to my room, my mood black. Today was my last day at Evelink Biosciences.Stupid lab rules,only family could visit and only for a week. Even Zoen had to stay outside, only able to pass me documents and updates on the pack.
The twins were still unconscious. I couldn't take them until they recovered, so I had to agree to leave them here for treatment.
Now that I'm leaving, Leon happens to wake up.
