“So, it is finally set,” Robin said as she sat down on the couch in the sitting room. Aunt Yolanda was in the kitchen baking cupcakes and the smell alone was making my mouth water. However, I needed to focus. I was, after all, Robin’s Beta. Not officially, but that would happen soon enough.
“A spring wedding,” I remarked, and I tried to push down the jealousy. I was not upset that Decker hadn’t proposed yet. I wasn’t.
“Yes, it was Decker’s suggestion. Did he tell you that?” she asked as she wiggled around, trying to get comfortable. It had been Decker’s suggestion, was it? Why? Of course, I couldn’t ask that now, could I? No, I couldn’t.
