“Are you ready for this?” Seff asked me as we headed toward the training center. We had a morning meeting with all of the warriors.
“Yeah, are you?” I questioned as I glanced over at him. He looked a bit nervous, but then again, maybe he just needed a cup of coffee.
“Yes. I am determined to make sure the warriors are completely on board. The last thing any of us need to worry about is Marric making an unwelcome surprise visit,”
“Have you spoken to your mom?” I then asked as the training center came into view. I wasn’t surprised when Seff came to a stop.
“I have…she is worried about it. I don’t think she is ready to reject him. I don’t think anyone is ever ready to reject their lifelong mate,” he said rather sadly. “I asked her if she missed him…if she still loved him,”
