I couldn't believe it. I was finally going to be a father. I had always known that I wanted to have a family, and now it was finally happening. The thought of having an heir to the Fircone pack was overwhelming with excitement. I could already imagine the little one running around, playing with his or her cousins, and learning how to hunt and fight from me. I smiled to myself knowing that gift of life was growing inside my beloved mate. I loved her so much and recalled the day I first laid eyes on her. It warmed my heart to know that she was mine forever.
