I am both nervous and excited as I wait at the airport for Aubrey to arrive. It was touch-and-go there for a while; she only decided two days ago that she was coming. A part of me truly thought she was going to cancel. I tried my hardest to do better, but when Hugo was here, it made it harder. I can only hope that things won’t be off between Aubrey and me. I am eager to see her, but I have that doubt in the back of my mind that things aren’t going to be the same between us.
I am waiting at the entrance for her, an iced coffee in my hand for her. Her flight should have landed, and she’ll be here soon. I shouldn’t be this nervous about seeing my girlfriend.
