Raging wife

1566 Words

Jordan grinned at me, flashing me his perfect set of teeth and I quickly realised that he played me. He knew what he was doing to me and he played me. Angry at myself other than him, I pushed him away and the elevator came to a halt. He grinned even more at me, not minding that he had pissed me off. He brought out the card, swiped it through the elevator, then the door opened. I walked out first, too embarrassed and angry to even be with him. But I froze when I found a lot of people packed before me, each sketching, drawing, typing, and moving about. No one took note of me, though I could see their eyes linger on me and look away like I was not even there. Then I perceived Jordan’s perfume behind me and the entire room came to a halt and went silent like a ghost had just walked through.
