“Are you nuts?” I yelled at Miles who had adamantly refused to leave my way. Usually, he followed Jordan around, which was even more annoying. The only day he left him behind, he was given such stupid assignment.
“I’m sorry ma’am. Mr. Jordan gave strict instructions not to let you out of the house,” the man repeated the same words he had been saying to me earlier like he was some sort of robot.
“If you repeat that one more time,” I snapped and tightened my grip on my purse. He was way too uptight and his continuous repeat of that one line was setting me on the edge.
