JORDAN Genesis snapped her eyes back at me. I wanted to look away, unable to bear the look in her eyes. But I didn’t. I wanted her to understand, to see how serious every word meant. Her expression was soon replaced by amusement, dark amusement and a burst of laughter erupted from her throat. Tears appeared at the corners of her eyes and she wiped the corners off.
