Genesis snapped her eyes back at me. I wanted to look away, unable to bear the look in her eyes. But I didn’t. I wanted her to understand, to see how serious every word meant. Her expression was soon replaced by amusement, dark amusement and a burst of laughter erupted from her throat. Tears appeared at the corners of her eyes and she wiped the corners off.
"You can do that and more," she repeated my words.
"Tell me, can you do that and more?"
"Tell me, can you be a better husband? Can you send Samantha to prison for all the wrong she did to me? Will you send her away?" She yelled bitterly. The pain in her voice was slicing my heart. That look in her eyes had me wishing that I could take back everything. Rewind the hand of time till we were back at the beginning.
