CHAPTER SEVENTY-FOUR The morning sun's rays fell on the Duke’s sleeping face and he squinted but never opened his eyes. He’d slept throughout the night in peace, despite the act he pulled in front of the Yorks and his own parents. Usually such a misdemeanor, as his mother would refer to it, would keep him up all night while he tried to decipher a way to apologize to her to make everything right.
