What was she doing here? The Duke felt a familiar tremor run through his whole body as he gazed at the woman standing before him. She looked extremely beautiful tonight and her brown eyes held the same shock that he had.
“Do you know her?” Mary questioned, noticing the Duke’s gaze transfixed on the woman she’d run into the bathroom.
“Not exactly. Do you know her?” he questioned, drawing his gaze away from her to Mary. He knew he had to be careful of what he said in front of Mary lest she went off blabbering to his mother. His mother would then figure out why he wanted to fly out to LA in the first place and that may just be bad for the Carrington business. On the other hand, he hoped that Victoria would walk away and quit looking at him like that.
