(Julia’s POV)
Ronan’s words were still ringing in my ears as his unreadable gaze held mine, arms folded across his chest. The baby has Alpha traits? I didn’t even know that could happen! I took a deep breath, trying to buy some time before I had to answer.
Finally, I decided to just play dumb. “What?” I furrowed my brow, hoping I appeared sufficiently confused by Ronan’s question. “The pup…has Alpha traits? But how is that even possible?”
Ronan’s eyes narrowed slightly and he opened his mouth to reply, but before he could, I quickly said, “Well, I guess we should ask the doctor!” and frantically pressed the call button on the side of my bed.
