I know that Cess is a short form for Cecilia, but I never imagined that she's that Cecilia.

"Gabriel?" Cess whispers. "What are you doing here?"
Both Cess and Gabriel turn to stare at me.
"You knew?" They both ask at the same time.
I shake my head, my eyes holding Cess's.
"Cess, what the hell is going on?"

"I've only known him for a week."
"And you brought him here. Why?"
"You said I could bring a friend."
"I'll just go." Gabriel says coldly as he drops my hand, his angry eyes meeting mine. "Next time try not to embarrass me like this."
