I close my eyes and take in a deep breath.
"I'd very much appreciate it if you came to get me. Right now, please."
"Is everything okay? You sound off."
I glance at the kissing couple before I nod.
"Everything is perfect."
"Can I talk to Max?"
"No. He's indisposed at the moment."
"What does that mean?"
"Brent, you can't talk to Ryder right now. He seems to be a little bit busy."
"Cami-"
I hang up on him.
I look at the screen as I walk back to the party. Ryder has a photo of two pretty girls as his wallpaper. One is Krystal for sure, and I think I'm safe to assume that the other one is Renee, his other sister.
I don't know why, but I expected him to have a random photo of a naked girl on his home screen. Isn't that what spoiled brats do?
