Chapter Forty
“The claiming bond, the anger is all you.” Kane flinched, his hands coming up to my outer thighs as he rested down on his knees. “I can’t help but want you, even if you’re pissed at me.”
“Can you undo it?” I asked, his face fell and I felt hurt move through the center of my chest like I’d been punched.
“It’s a forever thing.”
“God damn it, Kane.” I felt that heat pulling at me, feeding into my anger. “A dragon?”
“Since I was born.” He said, worrying his lower lip. His eyes finally met mine, “I really am sorry. I had a plan and when you said I was yours. That you were mine, it just-”
“You should have told me.” I said, cutting him off. I scooted away from him, standing up. “I love you, but Kane. I just, I don’t know what to say to you right now.”
