I stand there for a second catching my breath. I walk to River take his hand. “Grab my purse and the jewelry and I’ll head for the car with the girls.” I grab the girls’ hands and start to walk towards the door. River is at my side in seconds.
We get into the car and the contractions pick up to 2 minutes apart. We arrive at the pack hospital and Rebecca is there to sit with the girls. Dr. Brown’s nurse comes and shows us to my room. She helps me change and get into the bed.
After the nurse has hooked me up to the machines Dr. Brown walks in. “Well hello Graci. Your son has decided to have a holiday birthday like his sister’s I see.” She laughs.
