ISAAC  The room spun, the ceiling tilted and swayed, making it challenging to keep my eyes open. Warm, fuzzy numbness spread throughout my body, a deceptive comfort that did nothing to quiet the turmoil in my mind as I lay on the bed. Empty bottles of alcohol litter the room, scattered across the floor and the nightstand, with the faint smell of stale liquor hanging in the air. Regular human alcohol barely affected us, so there were those that were made specifically for our kind, potent enough to cloud our senses. At least for a little while before they wear off. My head sunk deeper into the pillow, and I finally succumbed and closed my eyes, hoping the darkness would bring relief. Instead, it only amplified the noise in my mind.
