When I had dreamwalked with Cassius, I felt his true self, the blood-thirsty sadist who reveled in the pain, screams, and death of others. His love for mayhem and his insatiable hunger to see terror rule. I had felt it all that night. Brenna was almost burned at the stake. I still wondered why he picked that memory for me to walk in of all the memories he could have shown me. Why choose one that showed his cruelty?
