When Cassius said his kind was cursed, which was why they were slowly going extinct, I instantly believed him without a doubt. Though I had never heard that story before, I still presumed it was the truth.
He was one of the oldest beings alive, the oldest of his kind, in fact. So him being, perhaps, the only one aware of the curse was believable. With such age and experience, he would be knowledgeable about things others weren’t. And as the oldest of his kind, he would know more about why this was all happening to his kind.
Priestess Tara should also have known about such a curse if it really existed, but as discovered, she didn’t. Instead, she only knew about Cassius being cursed.
