It was worse than I thought, the flames were burning high, and the smoke covered the sky, turning the day to night. There were people working on stopping the fire all over the place. I didn't see my father or my mate, but I kept running, looking for someone that I could ask about either of them. I knew it was all just a distraction, Terrance was there, looking, hunting, and I couldn't allow him to be successful, I had to stop him before he finished his task.
I had never run as fast in my life, but I kept my search, Xander by my side.
