THE MEETING ROOM

ZION fell asleep while looking out for his sister when one female nurse woke him up. He slowly opened his eyes to hear what she has to say.

"Sir, we are going to transfer your sister now to the ICU."

"Ah, okay," he replied, and he stood to give way to the people who are going to pull the bed.

"Sir," the male doctor called, and he approached Zion.

"Yes, Doc?" he answered while scratching his left eye.

"Dra. Ko called and I told her everything about your sister's condition since she is your doctor here. I also told her all that she needs to know. She said she's on her way to take care of it."

"Okay, Doctor," he politely responded.

"May I know, Sir, your relationship to Dra. Ko?"

"Um, she and my mother were best friends. She is my Godmother, also to my sister," he managed to answer so, no one will know about their deal.

"I see. You parents chose a great Godmother for both of you," the doctor commented with a chuckle. "So now, you go up to the ICU and wait there, okay? You wait for Dra. Ko too," he added.

"Okay, Doc. Thank you," he said with a smile, and he followed his sister to the elevator.

Eventually, Dra. Ko came out of the ICU room, and she faced Zion who is quietly sitting in the waiting area. She approached him, and she sat next to him that surprised him a little.

"D-Dra. Ko. You're already here," he mentioned, and he sat straight.

"Good morning to you, Zion. Just to let you know, Sarah is in good condition now so, you can relax now. Tomorrow morning, they are going to conduct a head CT scan with a contrast to see her brain and determine what's going on with her. You know, seizure is not a joke. And just like our deal, I'll take care of everything," she recited, and she smiled at him.

"Thank you, Dra. Ko," he shyly said.

"You're welcome, Zion. Your sister needs an immediate response, and you made the right decision to bring her here than let her be. You don't have to worry about it. For now, go home and sleep. I left your contact with them already if in case they need your consent. And about our deal, I'll text you the details where you will meet her."

"Okay, Dra. Ko," he seriously replied, and he looked down.

"Cheer up, Zion," she mentioned, and she tapped his shoulder before standing up. "I'll go ahead now. I'll see you tomorrow," she added with a smile at him, and she left him alone.

Whilst, Zion is zoning out because of what he did but then, he sighed, and stood up.

"The important thing now is my sister and she's safe now. I would do everything for her even if selling myself out is the only way out," he mumbled in the back of his mind, and he started to walk home.

Afterward, Zion is on the shower and taking his time to bath. He is letting the water falls to his face with his eyes close to free his mind. He then brought his palms onto his face to wash it out, and he opened his eyes as he already made up his mind. In a minute, he faced the mirror with an earnest look without any upper clothes and just a white towel wrapped around his lower region.

ON the other hand, Toni is eating silently on her condo unit when her phone rings so, she answered it knowing it was her Auntie. She put it on speaker since she's alone.

"Where are you now, Toni?" Dra. Ko asked in the other line.

"In the house, eating lunch. Why?" Toni replied casually.

"Good. I already sent you the address where you two will meet."

"Okay. By the way, you haven't send to me the details of this perfect man you are describing. Can you send me his profile so, I would know who I am meeting with? I might get the wrong guy."

"You know him, Toni. He's the strange man you met at the elvator that you told me about."

Toni got choked just hearing it, and because of that, she grabbed a glass of water to regain herself.

"What did you say?"

"Yes, that's right. I found that man, and his name is Zion Rilo."

"You did not!" She surprisingly commented. "Wait, he agreed?" Her eyebrows creased in wonder because as far as she knows, she got rejected by him the other day.

"Yes."

"But, how? We met the other day that I told him my situation but, he instantly rejected me. So, how come that he agreed now?"

"Well, I have ways and connections. But that's not important anymore. The important thing now is that he agreed and he's ready to meet you later this evening at 7. So, dress up nicely and wear the lingerie that I bought you. Do not mess this up, or you're doom. Got it?" Dra. Ko strictly warned.

"I will, don't worry," Toni seriously answered.

"Good. Okay, I have to go now and I have a meeting. Keep me posted, alright?"

"I will. Thanks. Bye," Toni said, and she ended the call.

For a moment, she stayed silent and not moving when her lips slowly form a little smile knowing that she's going to meet up the perfect man for her although, they did not get along the first time they met.

Mysteriously, someone unlocked the door and got inside the room to place a bottle of wine beside the bed. He/She then dropped a small medicine inside to mix with it. He/she also put a small square shape clock with a hidden camera on it above the drawer that is just right across the bed. After that, he/she left the room quietly.

ONWARDS, Toni is at the meeting room wearing a red bathrobe as she is ready to meet him. Nervously, she poured herself a little wine on the glass that is on the side of the bed to calm herself while waiting for her perfect man.

Meanwhile, Zion is standing in front of the door already wearing nothing but a plain white shirt and a black pants, though it compliments his muscular body. However, he is hesitating whether to go inside or not.

Whilst, she looked at the clock to see that it's already 7:30 in the evening but still, there's no sign of him. Agitated, she texted her Auntie where Zion is but, she didn't receive any message back. She also started to walk from right to left as sign of frustration. And while she is waiting, she received a text from Jackson asking where she is because he wanted to see her but, she ignored him.

Zion anyways received a text from Dra. Ko who was asking where he is but, he didn't reply. He just stood there beside the door as he calm himself down. After a minute, Dra. Ko called him but, he put his phone into silent mode so, no one will disturb him.

Notwithstanding, she cannot stop herself from drinking more wine when all of a sudden, she felt a sting inside her head that made her vision spin. With no one around, she sat down to the edge of the bed to steady herself. She then grabbed her phone to call when it suddenly rings because Jackson is calling but, she cannot fully see who it is due to her blurry vision. Without any strength, she answered the call and put it on her right ear.

"Toni, please let's see each other. Let's talk," he sweetly mentioned.

"Yes, ssssure. I'm at C-Crown'ssss hotel, room fhivee-sheeeks—shee..ve..enght——"

She didn't continue because of the growing pain inside her head, and her eyes shut closed that her back fell into the bed.

"What? What did you say? Wait, are you drunk? Hello, Toni? Hello? Are you still there?" he confusingly asked because he was having a hard time hearing her, and because of her slang words.

He so ended the call and left the restaurant in a hurry to fetch her even though, he didn't quite catch her.

Zion, then, looked to his phone again to see that he missed 19 calls and 23 message from Dra. Ko. He didn't even bother to read and answer them all because of dilemma. He just stood there quietly like a statue for three hours.

"I really can't do this," he whispered to himself, and he turned his feet away.

On his way back, he saw a familiar man walking passed by him which made his feet stop. He then recalled that he was the man in the elevator who was with Toni before, that he hit with the mop he was holding because he didn't like him near her.

"What is he doing here?" he asked in a murmur, and he turned his back again to look after him.

His eyebrows collided in the middle when he saw the man stood in front of the room where he was supposed to meet Toni.

Jackson looked at the room number first to see if he got the right room, and thinking that it's right, he didn't hesitate to knock.

"Toni? Toni? Are you there? Open it! I'm here!" he hollered.

"Excuse me, who are you?" Zion asked in a fight mode, and he stood in front of him to block the door.

Jackson was surprised to see a strange man in front of him so, he scanned him from head to toe with a judging look. "And, who are you?" he questioned back with a daring voice.

"I asked you first," Zion argued without looking away, and he glared at him.

"Me? Don't you know me? I am a top engineer here in New York. Does a Jackson River ring a bell to you?" he arrogantly recited.

"I don't know you," Zion said in deadpan.

Jackson scoffed at the man's answer, and he glared at him too. "Okay. But to be fair, I don't know you too. Now get out of my way and I'm looking for someone," he insulted, and he stepped forward to get the doorknob.

"Not on my watch," Zion commented, and he removed his hand away from the door.

"Are you serious, bro? Get out of the way," Jackson demanded angrily.

"No," Zion seriously replied.

"And, why is that? Is this your room?" Jackson queried.

"My room? Yes, it is. So, back off," Zion boastfully answered.

"Really? I doubt it." Jackson didn't believe him, and he reached for the doorknob again.

But, Zion blocked it again while Jackson smirked in annoyance, and he fought with him for the door.

Zion fought back, and he tried to protect the door at all cost when he turned his back at him to open the door with a key he is holding and he hurriedly go inside. He then locked the door so, the arrogant man won't get in.

"Hey, you! Open it! Hey, I said open it!" Jackson yelled while banging the door.

"You got the wrong room! This is my room! Leave!" Zion madly replied.

Hearing that, Jackson stopped and he looked down to his phone to dial Toni's number again. Because of that, Zion turned towards the sound and he saw Toni lying on the bed sleeping that wonders him. Anyways, he quickly turned off the phone beside her so, that man won't know where she is.
