Chapter Two

2712 Words
AVA "Holy sh!t Ava! You look awesome!" Emma says with a shockingly screechy voice and it worms its way through to my ear drums. I flinch and she quickly covers her mouth. "Sorry." She says and I give her a small smile. "You look pretty good yourself girl. Never pegged you for the whole black on black look. These damn uniforms manage to hide our true selves. I have no idea how I will be able to manage wearing the damn thing come Monday." She laughs nodding her head. "I'm full of surprises. Having you here brought out a part of me that I have kept inside for way too long. Never really had someone to call a friend, you know? It's like I feel we have this connection. I know I must sound like an idiot. I've only known you for like a minute." She says with such wholeheartedness. "I actually have the same feeling. Me either with having anyone being called a friend. To be honest, I never had a true friend. I think it's time I did." I say, meaning every word. "Then it's finalized. We're going to be besties for life and teach these mofo's here that they can't or won't ever scare us." She says with such a salacious grin plastered on her face and I can't help but feel grateful for at least one person to call a friend in this giant sh!thole. Maybe my aunt did do something right by sending me here. Better than being all alone living on the streets. We head for the exit with eyes following us, checking us out, clearly enticed by our appearance. Bet they didn't know Emma was a stone cold fox underneath her uniform. Emma is sporting a black mini skirt with fish net stockings, combat boots and a black halter top with her hair straighter than straight. If I swung on her team, I would definitely admit she was drool worthy. I, myself, am rocking my tightest ripped black skinny jeans, my combat boots, a tight red t-shirt that is perfected to my chest, making my boobs look awesome, and have my hair in a high ponytail. We are arm in arm clearly ready to dominate this night with nothing but fun and lots of drinks courtesy of my fake ID. Even good girl Emma has a fake ID. We finally hit the fresh air after making a cat walk out of the damn building and notice the two brutes Christian and Ryder plastered to the wall with two girls, one of which is Ms. Regina George from this morning, latched to their sides, hanging on to them like they were practically super glued. The girls are making it their mission to show off their boy toys and I just have to roll my eyes. That is just such a sad attempt to make anyone jealous. "There's the trash bag from this morning! She nearly broke my wrist baby." I hear the diva recall the events from this morning to Ryder who looks all but bored. That's what you get for choosing Class F ass. Me, the dumbass that can't keep her big mouth shut just needs to butt in. I halt Emma and turn around to face off with the whiny b!tch and her stud. "Oh sweetie. If I wanted your wrist broken, I would have broken it. Like I said before, yet, I still see you don't listen to one and only warnings, but, f!ck off. Your Alpha boyfriend here doesn't scare me and neither do you." I shoot him a glare and see a hint of amusement in his eyes before returning my death glare to whatever the hell her name was. I'm sticking with Regina George. F!ck it. I watch as Christian and his bimbo come to stand alongside the other two like that could intimidate me. "Then you clearly don't know who he is. With me by his side, we will ruin you." I see Ryder's eyes widening and the anger in his eyes emerge. Not sure if it's at me or his barbie doll. Not wanting to think any more on it, I fake gasp, holding my chest like her words have actually damaged me. "Oh golly gee then. Maybe I should be afraid. Not. Both of you can f!ck a camels d!ck." I turn back around to see Emma's mouth wide open, again, along with her eyes bugging out of her skull. "F!ck Ava. You better pray he doesn't take that personally but hell that was monumental." I laugh maniacally. "Oh Emma. You underestimate me. You see, guys like Ryder and Christian don't scare me. I've been through sh!t worse than those two douchebags with an ego complex. I've got this." She looks wary and I hold her still and place both my arms on her shoulder making her see me. "They even think about coming near you, then sh!t will really hit the fan and they will come to see a side of me that they will sorely forget messing with." A side I didn't expect from Emma surfaces and she smirks with an evil grin with a shimmer in her eyes. "That's my girl. Now let's go get f!cked up." We hightail it out of there ready to have a damn good night. ************************************************** "Alright everybody, put your names down on the list and the song you would like to sing. Don't be scared. We don't judge." The DJ shouts into the microphone and I pull myself off the couch and head for the clipboard. "You can sing?" Emma asks and I wink at her. "I'm no Mariah Carey but I can sing, but usually I sing when I am by myself but since my trusty fake ID worked and have had about three drinks so far, I'm gonna chance it." She gives me a thumbs up as she downs her third drink. I saunter over to the front and scribble my name down along with the song that I sing all the time when I am just in that headspace of feeling alone. I head back to Emma and we just continue our drinking but nurse the fourth one until my name is called. "Next up we have Ava. Come on down Ava and grace us with your voice!" The crowd claps and I stroll back to the front and hop up on the little makeshift stage they have. "Listen up people, you are my first audience so, yeah, don't judge." I hear some laughter from the crowd and the song begins to play. Reeling in the pain of my past and just transporting myself to a time where I was just broken amplifies my desire to belt my heart out. How can you see into my eyes, like open doors Leading you down into my core Where I've become so numb Without a soul My spirits sleeping somewhere cold Until you find it there and lead it back home. I know there is a second voice that chimes in when the other chorus comes to play, but I don't register it, and I just keep belting out my pain and heartache until the song dies out. I open my eyes to the whole crowd starstruck. Emma leaps off the couch whistling and clapping so loud and it makes everyone else do the exact same thing. I smile, do a quick bow, and place the microphone down and make a run towards the back because all the pain that was deep down inside has resurfaced and I am at my wits end right now. Tears are pricking the back of my eyes and I curse myself for showing or being vulnerable. I knew I shouldn't have picked that song. Why the hell did I? I am so never drinking again. Before I make it to the bathroom, managing to find it with not so good lighting, I am pulled into it by someone and they shove me against the door after locking it, with their hand bracing my head for the impact of the door, immediately smashing their lips onto mine. I am trying to process what is exactly going on but the kiss I am currently in is like none I have ever had before. It is filled with passion, longing, and a sh!tload of aggression. They dive their tongue into my mouth and I allow it, needing to feel the intensity of it all. I moan and it stirs them on even more, digging their massive erection into me. They rub themselves against me, the friction of it making me moan even more. Before I know it, they pull away and unlock the door and slip out without a word, leaving me to stand there utterly dumbfounded, and highly turned on. Damn f!cker, whoever it was. What in the ever loving f!ck just happened?! ************************************************** I told Emma about the heated kissing session I experienced in the bathroom and she was stunned speechless. We tried to figure out who it could have been but we came up empty handed. I even asked her who was singing with me, the male voice that spurred my insides, but she was so wasted that she thought I had sung everything myself. I crashed the whole day Sunday, with Emma right by my side, watching a marathon of Netflix movies and then come this morning, I am up at the ass crack of dawn, managing to squeeze in a gym workout, a shower, and reluctantly putting the damn school uniform on. I cringe when I look at myself in the mirror but if this is what it takes to become someone other than a useless victim of my past, then why not. I dart out of my room, lock the door, and meet Emma by my homeroom. "Morning!" She says gleefully and I take it that she is a morning person. "Hey. Tell me the truth. How ridiculous do I look right now?" She shakes her head at me. "You honestly pull off the look better than any other girl here, especially with the boots." She says truthfully and I give a slight smile. We head into our different classrooms, promising to meet up at lunch, and of course, the two handsome rulers and their obnoxious hussies are in my homeroom class too. I roll my eyes and look for a spot far, far, away from them. I can feel their eyes on me but I don't show an ounce of it having any affect on me. The day goes by rather quickly, only having to deal with the four assholes glaring daggers at me for only one period after homeroom and we are now onto lunch. Thank god because I am hungry as f!ck. I make my plate and find Emma at the table we sat at last time and I plant my ass down ready to eat. "How's your day so far?" She asks while eating her french fries. "Not too bad actually. The four horseman of the apocalypse were in only one class of mine so thank god for that. Really wasn't looking forward to round three." I sigh and shove a french fry in my mouth. She giggles. "You're Ava right?" A cute preppy looking boy with blonde hair says as he stands by our table. "Maybe. Who's asking?" He smiles and sits down next to me. "Name's Alex. Saw you in my history class and realized that you must be new here. Just coming to welcome you to the Academy." He says in such a husky voice and I size him up. He does have that preppy look but I doubt his actual style is that way. He isn't built like Thor but he has other handsome qualities to him. "Thanks." He winks at me opening his mouth to say something else when I see two larger than life figures approaching him from behind. Ryder taps him on the shoulder while Christians arms lean on the table, eyeing him with some rage. "Move." Ryder says in a don't f!ck with me tone, and Alex's eyes raise and I roll my eyes at their brutish behavior. "Don't listen to Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. You are more than welcome to stay." I interject, causing their gazes to land on me. Sh!t. If that wasn't the hottest death glare ever. "We need to talk to you, new girl, and pansy ass here needs to f!ck off." Ryder states in a no nonsense tone and I just continue to glare my own menacing expression. Emma looks between all of us but doesn't cower away like I thought she would. I think she is liking this. I give her a smirk and she winks back at me confirming my suspicions. "Your girlfriends making you take care of their dirty work? That's pathetic." I go to stand but Christian pulls up right behind me and I slowly turn to meet his gaze. "Mind giving a girl some space?" He just looks at me with a hint of sympathy resonating in his eyes but it instantly disappears when Ryder slams his hand down on the table. "F!ck this. Come on Emma, Alex. Let's go." I step out from where I was sitting and brush against Christian with tingles flying down my arm straight to my toes. "You can either talk with us or we follow you three everywhere you go. Pick your poison new girl." Ryder says through gritted teeth and I clench my tray. "Alright your majesty. Alex, Emma, I'll see you both later." I go back to sit down and watch as they both leave, Emma looking back at me with a wary look and I nod to her assuring her that I'll be okay. "What's this about?" I say wanting to cut to the chase, folding my arms across my chest. "What's your deal new girl? Others flinch when we are near but not you. I assume you know who we are and what we are about. Don't cross paths with us and stay away from her." I lift an eyebrow and look behind him seeing the infamous blonde lifting her chin up in victory thinking her boy toy has any control over me. I wave and throw on the fakest smile I have on my face and then take it upon myself to make her seethe even more. "So you are doing your girlfriends dirty work. Trying to make me shake in my boots with absolute fear? Yeah, not going to happen. How about you run along and tell your barbie doll to stay the f!ck away from me and my friends unless she wants missing teeth." I cooly state, inching my way closer to the moron. I lean in extremely close to Ryders face, our noses touching, my lips brushing past his, the blackened look in his eyes telling me he is thinking plenty of naughty things is just what I need to have her leaping from her chair, ready to pounce onto me. I smile and step back and fall into Christian's chest that is rising and falling rapidly, his arm wrapping around my waist, and the hunger and rage in Ryder's eyes when he sees where his best friends hand is. I turn to look up at Christian who has blackened eyes too and it takes everything in me to keep my cool and not kiss the sh!t out of him, since I was left hanging the other day. I snap out of it, seeing the blonde menace being held back by her friends. "That's my cue to leave you two devils. Last warning. Tame your girls boys. I think it best to maybe have her deal with me than you two. Wouldn't want to mar those handsome faces." I pull myself out of his grasp and lead myself to find where Emma and Alex are. I feel the heat all throughout my body and will myself not to turn around and look at them watching me walk away. I can't help but grin from that interaction that was such a rush of adrenaline for me. They'll learn soon enough that I don't obey anybody's commands, let alone theirs.
