Before I could send him towards Mia, Phoenix had already wrapped his arms around my waist, possessively locking me in his embrace as he buried his face around my neck.
I could feel his intimidating aura, but it wasn't targeted at me.
“I was just kidding, okay? I wasn't really going to see that, Mia. I don't even care if she's alive or not. If you hadn't mentioned her, I would have already forgotten about her.” He softly said while raising his head, forcing me to look up at him.
I just stared at him and didn't say anything.
Seeing that I didn't say anything, he let out a helpless sigh as his hand reached out, touching my chin as he looked at me straight into my eyes.
