Lyla I visited the Klinkle’s by myself. I told Kellen and Conner I had to do this. They understood and were finishing up some woodwork for my dad and uncle Dozer. I had just gotten off the phone with Domino. She said they weren’t going to be able to make it for Christmas, but they would be there two days after. That had appeased me. I was about to blow her world up if she didn’t come home for a visit. I got out of Conner’s truck and held the handmade blanket in my arms, cradling it like a baby along with a round tin of cookies on top. I had to smile. The colors were a festive green and red. Domino always put cheer in whatever she made. I looked at my wrist at the bracelet she made me when we were in fifth grade. She said it was a friendship bracelet. It was in all rainbow color
