This was a total nightmare. Why did I think the town carnival would be a good place to take her? It was crowded, potential threats all around. The only saving grace was half my network was here. The gang members roamed around, giving me subtle nods. The three little girls with their overly exhausted mother waved at us and we waved back. She needs a vacation. I’m going to have to place a package on her table for her tonight so she can take some time off. A year should do, if she wants that. At the very least, she could cut back on her work hours.
