After waking up in the hospital, I was touched to find out that both my brother and my mate had never left my side. I was eternally grateful to Mother Selene for placing these two amazing men in my life.
The day after I woke up, Doc Porter released me from the hospital. It seemed that there were several permanent changes in my body that I was going to have to adjust to. For instance, the purple swirls in my eyes - which were really more like a thin purple line that circled my irises, halfway between my pupils and my sclerae (the whites of my eyes). It was usually pretty light, but I had discovered that it sometimes got darker if I was upset or tired. I was now stronger than I had been before. Things that I had struggled to lift before, I could now lift with ease. I was fast
