CHAPTER SEVENTY-SIX “Whoa! You look…beautiful,” Ian muttered, checking me out in total admiration as I walked down the stairs, one step after another. The red dress I had ransacked from Peggy’s wardrobe had fit me quite well and not to mention it was less revealing than most of her clothes. “Thank you,” I blushed lightly as I covered the distance between us. He leaned down, placing a soft kiss on my lips. His arm found its way around my waist as we bid mum goodbye before he led me out. The drive to a very lavish restaurant on the other side of town took almost forty minutes but the awkward silence was getting unbearable. “Mexican,” I mused as he opened the car door for me. “You don’t like it? We can change the venue,” he hurried on. “No. I love it,” I answered as he sighed in relief.
