CHAPTER NINETY Music played on, couples dancing around us and I took a moment to appreciate just how happy people looked. Despite their own problems, tonight everyone looked genuinely joyful, and unconsciously I found myself smiling as I let my body move around to the rhythm of the music. Tonight, I was going to be happy just like everybody else. No more thinking about my life or boys who are being douchebags. Amber had joined the DJ but I did not mind being alone right now. It was both relaxing and refreshing. My eyes fell shut as I let the music take over, my heart feeling like it stopped when I felt hands on my waist. I knew those hands damn well and that nerve-numbing scent was all too familiar. “You dance so well,” he breathed against the nape of my neck, my body coming alive. Why
