Being born as an only child from a bloodline of Alphas, I became the only candidate to rule the Diamond Pack as an Alpha. Even so, the pack members questioned my credibility to rule. It didn't help with the fact that I was born a female.
I understand their sentiments. It is rare for a pack to have a female for an Alpha. It only happens when there is no other choice for the title, just like what happened to me. I understand why they are hesitant and skeptical about having me as an Alpha.
