I felt their gazes drill holes in me. I don’t think I was this intimidated by anyone since I woke up in Stella’s body. My increased heart rate and laboured breathing made my nervousness obvious to everyone present in the room. I glanced at Austin who was staring at his shoes. His eyes were downcast while he bit his lips. His eyes met mine for a split second and during that brief moment, I knew he too was anxious about the outcome.
Henry and Lilli also were looking at the floor. Their giggling faces were now filled with apprehension while both of them held their hands together. Once again my eyes travelled to the stern and intimidating faces of the three uncles.
“I.... I like him.” I whispered as my heart continued to thump in my chest. All three of them shared a knowing look
