Learning to live with the fact that my daughter was growing up caused physical pain, but I couldn’t be prouder of the woman she is growing up to be. Isabel was so much like her mother, yet I saw a hint of me inside of her too. Finding out that she stole her mother's secret stash of money to go all the way to Italy to try and save Callen pissed me off more than words could tell, but a part of me was also proud of the way that she always stuck to her guns. When Isabel set out to do something, she was going to do it regardless of who told her she couldn’t. Our relationship has grown because I finally allowed myself to see that.
