Angela lovingly gawking at the old couple, who turned out to be their client for tonight. Adam on the hand seemed pissed at the sight in front of him.
Old yet they are still sweet, the old man is obviously in love with his wife. The way he serves him food, wipe her mouth from the spilled liquid and the way he kissed his wife’s hand unknowingly. She wondered how they were in their younger days. She can never picture her parents being like that because her father has passed away already. Before she can swim deep in her own thoughts, the couple bid goodbye because of the movie they will still catch up. She was instantly jealous of what they have and it makes her dream to be like them someday.
"Aren’t they cute and sweet?" Angela commented when the couple left them.
"Did you get all the details during the meeting? Make sure we can't miss any single detail, they are our fortune." Adam said otherwise, from Angela's question.
"Yes. How long did you know the two? They seem to have a great love story." Angela said insisting on talking about the couple as their topic.
"Ms. Secretary, if you are that interested, go with them and ask them." He became grumpy all of a sudden.
"You sounded bitter." She murmured.
"I can hear you loud and clear." He said seriously, so Angela decided to stop and quit the topic. She doesn't want to piss his ride for tonight.
She was not sure if Adam will still drive her home, but she slipped inside his car anyway. He is clearly in a bad mood. This man is like having a bipolar problem, earlier he was playful and when he met the old couple, he was already like this sulking on his seat. Act as if she was not bothered, she did not ask him. She busied her eyes on the street.

"Where are we going?" She asked a bit panicking when she realized this is not her way to home.
What if he is a maniac and perverted boss during the night, that he just hide it during the day? She looked terrified right now remembering her past boss who can't stop himself from touching his secretary. Adam might not show it on her first day, but he may be one of them.
"I'm not that kind of person you are thinking right now, young lady," Adam said with amusement and curiosity. It may be hard to believe but his words made her relax a little. She is trusting him, but still, one week working with him is not enough to know his good and bad side.
"I don't really know what kind of person you are." She said, not confident. It may be safer not to question him, he might turn into one.
"If I'm really what you think, then you should have seen it on your first day," Adam said as if he really knew what was on her mind.
"If you do stupid, I'll tell you, I can put up a fight." She said and made him chuckle a faint one.
He was amused by her imagination, and he knew by then that his secretary is someone capable to fight and taking advantage of her is not on his list.
"Enough for that topic. Do you have another plan for tonight? If none, then you will stick with me." He said with finality not giving her the chance to answer his question. Does she have the choice anyway? And the familiar place came into the view, the club they went last Friday night with Cam and Gary.
Oh, Angela remembered seeing him there in her imagination.
"I know this place, I’ve been here once." She said, and she was thinking to ask him if he was there last week.
"I have been here too many times to count." He boasted so she decided not to ask him about it. It might be just her imagination that will embarrass her if she will ask him.
Of course, he has all the right to be here and enjoyed himself. They stepped out from his car, and she was just following his back. They are on the main entrance and the guard nodded at him politely. He didn’t check on him as he let him in immediately.
As far, as she can remember last time, they were strict with people who will get inside in this club, but he just let him in like he owns the place. Right, he was here too many times that the guard already knew Adam.
"She is with me," Adam said at him when the guard is about to talk to Angela. He then let her in without further checking.
When inside, the music is already blasting loud. A loudness her head cannot take, the silence on her own place is way better and head friendly. The place is already full of people mostly in suits as she scanned the place. Right, she just mistook one of them. Men in a suit look the same.
She immediately spotted his back in the bar counter, and she was shocked to see four empty glasses and one nearly empty. He drank it like a thirsty, big man. She didn’t know he is a drinker. Is he doing it every day? She began to ask questions, more likely to herself as she is just watching him.
Adam is like unpredictable weather, he became warm and instantly cold in just a span of time. He was fine earlier before the dinner meeting, and she didn't know what makes him act that way, like a problematic person drowning himself with alcohol.
"Just don't stand there, join me." He commanded, clearly, he is already affected by the alcohol but far from drunk.
“I think, I can’t join you, Adam. I don’t like to go to work with a hangover.” She said.
“Fair enough.” His only answer as he continued to drink without talking to her again.
She can't just stare at him all night drinking, so she left.
