The journey was a long one, but I was blissfully unaware of it for the most part. I only had to sit for a few minutes staring at the scenery, but I was unable to keep my eyes open for long. The toil of the night before had gotten to me, my body weary from the tears I had shed and the weight on me. Or maybe it was my own way of avoiding the fact that I had left my family behind and escaped to an unknown place.
