Luca was under strict instruction to make sure no one came to try to rescue me. I didn’t really need any saving but then again I had never expected James to try to hold me hostage in exchange for Lilly. I had been expecting him to ask me to give up my seat at the table or even some of my businesses to him but then James had proven to me that he was unpredictable and I realised that I had underestimated him and his abilities. I thought the fact he didn’t grow upon this city meant that he was weak but now k was wishing I had taken him as a serious treat the minute I realized was and when he hired Lilly.
