MAX’S POV
Things were going well and so far I had managed to gain control of James’ biggest factory. I knew that he probably knew what was happening right now and I expected him to be losing his mind over all the things he was about to lose because of me. I was expecting him to see that he had underestimated me and he had lied to himself by thinking that I would give my empire up for Lilly.
To be honest, I had considered doing so for her at some point. I had forgotten who I was for a minute but now I had remembered myself and I was out for blood. I wanted everything that James owned and I wanted to leave him with nothing. I was going to take the little that he had built up for himself alone with what Diego had left in his hands. He was going to regret ever engaging in a war with me.
