I was still processing what he'd just said before a knock came in and he called to come in. He obviously knew Hammer was coming, the timing was impeccable. But he just gently pushed me towards Hammer and I was left to stew.
"Etta," he called, and I turned, hopefully, meeting his warm gaze. "I'll try to find some time to spend with you, I might even take you up on your offer.
